"The HBS400 band saw from Scheppach is the ideal saw for precise cuts in 170mm thick workpieces. With its 750 watt motor and dual speeds, it is suitable for hard and soft woods. Free shapes, straight cuts, angled cuts and tabs are possible thanks to the parallel stop, the cross cutting template and the 45° swivel work table. The Scheppach HBS400 band saw is a great saw for the home workshop when it comes to precisely machining soft and hard woods (e.g. beams). or plastics with a maximum height of 170 mm. The HBS400 saw is suitable for perfectly straight cuts and beautiful rounds for which the workpiece is moved on the work table during sawing. The band saw is thus much more accurate than a circular saw, but it is not suitable for fine work and interior cuts such as a cutting saw. The workpiece is fed to the saw blade on the stable work table. In this case, two stops for machined part serve for optimal positioning and finger protection. The longitudinal stop with gaze and quick release can be installed on the left and right of the saw blade. With the cross cutting template, it is possible to create a special angle for angled cuts. The working surface has the basic dimensions of 400 x 500 mm and can be enlarged to 535 mm if required. It is also possible to tilt the table continuously at 45° thanks to the angular scale to create miter angles of max.45°. The locking is done without tools by means of a quick release system. With a power of 750 watts, the induction motor of the HBS400 achieves a maximum cutting speed of 720 m per minute during a constant and quiet operation. Sawing edges, corners and rounds is no longer a problem. The HBS400 can be used with all common 2240mm saw blades with a width of max. 15mm. A 100 mm suction sleeve used for connecting external dust suction ensures that the working area always remains clean. ".
