Dr. Fuhrman's Gentle Iron

Iron is an essential mineral whose primary role is to transport oxygen in the blood, and under certain conditions, supplemental iron is required to maintain a normal, healthy iron level. Gentle Iron provides 27 mg iron in each vegan capsule. Unlike most other iron preparations, it is designed to prevent constipation and gastric upset. It is safe for use by pregnant and lactating women, teenagers, and adults. Iron supplementation may be advised because of poor dietary intake of iron, aging, heavy menstruation, pregnancy, achlorhydria, blood loss, or other conditions. Note: As taking too much iron can be problematic and potentially dangerous, an iron supplement should be used only under the direction of a physician. Keep out of reach of children.
